This painting is the first in a series – the piece that opened the door to Liisa Addi’s inner child and laid the foundation for an entire collection. As artists, we often feel pressured to constantly evolve, but with this painting Liisa sensed that it was her inner child who needed to speak. She wanted to draw the things that once brought her joy or sparked fear – to express her emotions raw and unfiltered, in a way she hadn’t allowed herself to do for a long time.
