When you were young, maybe you imagined a character or creature that felt special: one you thought about without knowing why. Perhaps it was your inner strength taking shape, a quiet protector you created to help you face a confusing world.

Even if life has been hard, that strength has always been with you. It’s proof of how your heart knows how to heal, how to keep going. You’ve carried that power all along: steady, gentle, and brave.

In this work, Liisa Addi reflects on the birth of her Alter Ego: a guardian carried with her from childhood.
